Wow...Just when we all thought Jody Shelley was a Blue4lyfe this happens...I think I speak for everyone in saying that the entire landscape of the BBKL has changed.

Sometimes you have to make tough decisions as a General Manager. I think I speak for everybody in the St. Louis organization when I say that it pains me to lose such an integral part to a team looking to win the Stanley Cup. With 18 goals, 54 points and 1486 PIM in a mere 607 GP, Jody has taken the league by storm. Not only can he take over a game with his Brett Hull-esque wrist shot, he's been known to lose his temper in the heat of the moment to stick up for a teammate as his 156 fighting majors would suggest. Not only is he a great player, he's a great person with an even bigger heart.

On behalf of the St. Louis Blues franchise, I want to wish Jody, wife Mandy and son Owen the best of luck in what I can only imagine will be a very short stint in the Pittsburgh Penguins organization.

I traded away Landeskog to get Parise.

Then I traded Parise (and Shelley) away to get Landeskog.

MIND=BLOWN!
