I know it seems pedantic of me to to keep stressing this, but to avoid confusion over draft pick ownership in the future we need to keep a consistent formula for search purposes.

What search purposes? It'll just show as too many results to return anything. Besides, I'm not sure what the problem is since I did it correctly - unless you're pedantically whining about the dash, which goes back to my original point, there are too many results to return.

Right. I forgot. Rules don't apply to you.

What search purposes? You have been here for a very short period of time. We have had many instances over the year of multiple teams claiming ownership of picks. If we can trace it back through transactions we can find where error has been made.

It'll just show as too many results to return anything. Not true, you lack the ability to properly use the search function.

Besides, I'm not sure what the problem is since I did it correctly - unless you're pedantically whining about the dash, which goes back to my original point, there are too many results to return. You did not do it correctly, the dash would upset the search results.

I'm sick of having to explain every little rule to you. You are more of a pain in the ass than the rest of the league combined.

Believe me, it is necessary, when picks go missing, or are double traded by accident, the only way to determine what went wrong is to literally track the pick from it's origins (first trade onwards) that is very difficult if everyone uses a different format when listing the picks they traded.

Yes, I'm sorry for finding the search function unreliable and essentially there as an ornament. I put in Niederreiter, and yet I don't see you complaining about people typing Neiderreiter in trades. All I'm saying is, if it's the dash that's the issue, I'll remove it. I'm not that hard to approach, but Mike, you're ignoring the fact that I tried inputting "2011 1st Rounder (VAN) awhile ago, and all I got was "Too many results". FFS.

But wait! I thought the search function was working perfectly. 1154 matches. LULZ.

To begin, just because you don't understand the value of something doesn't mean it's worthless. This includes our rules. Follow them, if you want to know why they exist ask somebody. Don't break them and post facto complain that they don't meet your standards.
I put in Niederreiter, and yet I don't see you complaining about people typing Neiderreiter in trades.
Niederreiter, the correct spelling, returns 100+ results by just pasting it in the search bar. Neiderreiter, the misspelling, returns 5 results including this thread. All are in the General Discussion forum.
All I'm saying is, if it's the dash that's the issue, I'll remove it. I'm not that hard to approach,
It is true. Not that hard to approach? I try to make something clear to you immediately after a trade, for the second time in as many attempts, and It takes me half an hour to explain it yo you.

I've said this already: you lack the ability to search properly. If you want me to explain how to properly search for things on the internet you can ask me.

Just do what I just did and quit trying to make it sound like I have no idea what I'm doing. I acknowledged to Nick just moments ago that certain things work [i.e., 2012 1st Rounder (TBL)] but other things don't [i.e., 2012 1st Rounder (VAN)]

Please point me to the instance I claimed it worked perfectly. You can't I never did. There are other methods to search including boolean strings, operators, and modifiers.

I'm not in the habit of helping unrelenting assholes like yourself. Figure out how to do so yourself. Oh wait, you suck at searching and can't.

Chris man, you need to stop being hostile when someone reminds you of a rule, we didn't just go through as say " hey wtf would be annoying to Chris?" these evolved over 3 years in response to specific issues.

Yea, I'm completely unrelenting that I brought it up before to no avail. What next? You're going to tell me that you don't have a propensity to be a bit cuntish yourself?

Ugh. It has nothing to do with the rule. It's not that hard to conform to it. I'm questioning the purpose of it if it doesn't work correctly.

So I just tried the Google alternative. Same thing, but more narrow results: 138. And while it's showing a bunch of picks, it's not showing specifically "2012 1st Rounder (VAN)." So what am I doing wrong?

Post your search string.

And update the first post.
