trading kubina was hard to swallow. he does it all really and he's ufa. jfj is no longer around to give him 5 mill. he will sign for cheaper and still put up real solid numbers.

80-90 points and 500+ FOW is nothing to sneeze at...I really don't like this deal for Shiv, and I told him as much. Kubina is getting up there age, and his team is an unknown, for all we know he signs with a contender as a 3/4 making him FAR LESS productive than he was one either the Leafs or Thrashers, and Dave Bolland is a 3rd liner who shadows players well...The picks are meh too, I really like this deal for Anton.

You watch, i won't lie - i love being right.

lol this deal improved my chances imo. and i'm with steve. bolland could go from a 45 point guy to a 60 point guy (he had 16 points in 22 playoff games. that prorated to 82 is equal to 60 points). and this is with all of chicagos depth in the line up. all its going to take is Sharp getting moved/bolland getting line 2 center with hossa. btw for those that are curious:

Henrik = 90 points
Skrastins = 10 points (He was my 6th d-man)
Total Salary = 7.4m
Total = 100 points (on average)

Bolland = 50 points
Kubina = 30 points
Total Salary = 7.4m (assuming Kubina gets 4m as a FA which i think he will get less than but lets be conservative)
Total = 80 points (reasonable forecast regardless of where kubina goes and these are conservative estimates)

Thats a difference of 20 points. But the entire 20 points are in assists not goals. Assists were the category I have plenty in.

None of this is to mention, FOW even out, I gain HUGE in SHTOI, PIMS, HITS, BS, SOG, STPTS.

AND I got a 1st Rounder + 3rd Rounder + 4th for free.
