Columbus Bluejackets Compensation

Compensation for accidentally trading 2nd Waiver PIT to Columbus when I had moved it already.
To Columbus
3rd NJD 2010 (Notice it is the last pick in the round)
An Apology (For accidentally trading a pick I didn't have. Never meant to screw you bry.)
The middle finger (For asking CC to settle a matter we could've settled ourselves. And for the fact that I offered a 4th + 5th + another 5th because I didn't have a 3rd but was rejected. Somehow 4th + 5th + 5th ALL in 2010 do not equal a 2nd Round waiver in 2010.)
To CC
The following ideas:
1) Increased transparency.
2) Due Process.
3) An Election for the members of the CC where the entire BBKL league votes for GMs to be on the CC with term limits.
I do not agree with the non-democratic, non-transparent culture promoted by the CC. This should be a democracy.
To Pittsburgh
A rightfully deseved, albeit excessive, fine.

in all fairness shiv, we do try and be transparent.
I (wrongly) assumed you were informed at some point about the pick being double traded. However it is no ones responsibility other then your own to keep track of your assets.
I'm sorry that you don't think that the pick was worth ~3rd rounder to bry, however that is what @ time of picking they were being traded for. This is not what bry asked for, this is the value 6 senior GMs viewed it as, given the situation.

My quarrel with the CC is minor: I believe the fine is excessive sure. This to me is a minor issue
But to me that issue is nothing compared to the Good Faith colleagues show each other in circumstances like this. If the situation was reversed and Bry had accidentally traded me a 2nd Round Waiver that he didnt have. I would've simply PMed him and taken a 5th rounder. After the mix up with the CC and the open post in the general discussion i messaged him with a 4th + two 5ths as compensation and was rejected.
You could argue about how a 3rd is equal to a 2nd waiver somehow. You can say that even if the fine was excessive I am to blame. But I offered him a 4th and two 5ths in Good Faith yet got rejected. That to me is unsportsmanlike. Which is why I went to great lengths to get NJD's 3rd. I don't care if I overpaid.

and btw nick, the CC is not transparent. Take a league wide poll the CC is in NO WAY transparent. There needs to be more transparency, there needs to be due process (i.e. i could've told the CC i have offered bry a 4th and two 5ths as compensation and they could've approved/disapproved before making a decision) and there needs to be a democratic process to ensure the CC positions are held by elected officials.

That begins the quality over quantity debate shiv. To many 4,5,5 >3 .. but it's very situationally dependent.
what are we hidden about? i'm sorry that you didn't know you double traded a pick, either did I until i was asked to help gauge its value.
ps- we tried the elected members to the CC thing shiv, it does not work, lowest low of the league's existence.

Why do you take it for granted that BBKL should be democratic? What right do you have to complain about this service, offered to you free of charge?

Completely agree Shiv, and might I add that I LOVE the final touch with the NJD 3rd!
P.S. I too want to see an elected CC, and no Nick we haven't had one...

I have said in the past I may not be able to help with 100-200$ a year mike but I'll pitch in 10$ here and there or whatever i can. but this isnt about money we both know this. this is about the quality of bbkl. I have full respect for you guys who run this league. Mashley for some reason apologized to me 10 minutes ago for not catching the fact that I double traded my pick and i told him he was an idiot for apologizing because he does an awesome job along with all the other admin.
The point here is that the 30 members of BBKL control the experience of BBKL. You asked me why i take it for granted that it should be democratic. Well I ask you, why would you not want to try to improve a system if it can be improved? I mean no disrespect by it at all. I only mean to be constructive. The 30 members of this league can DRASTICALLY improve the experience of this league if we all find a way to add to the experience. And democracy if implemented the right way will always be the better way to run any sort of community. it may take some time but now I'll ask you: why shut out a discussion for possible ways to improve the league?

Confirmed.
ps. I never rejected your 4th+5th offer - I just said I would prefer it over the 3rd - AND you never offered 4th +5th + 5th so stop making shit up. If I knew you were going to go out of your way to be a little bitch, then I'd take nothing as compensation. I understand that you wern't trying to screw me..mistakes happen..but I think you have a feeling that I was trying to screw you by "not going to you first" which is not the case. Let me explain myself again: I found out Thursday afternoon; you wern;t online; I messaged Mashley/Scott, Mashley said he would make a post in the CC; 2 hours later I was on a plane to Vegas; I come back today and hear you crying.

I'd rather have a CC that knows the league and is active, more than anything. I quit because I just didn't care anymore.
I'm fine with just voicing my opinion, I don't need THE final say. If you have an idea, bring it up. You don't need a fancy title or coloured name to have an opinion to better the league.

only mistake made in the sequence was shiv double trading his pick.
shiv-> we tried elected CC, it didn't work. it's not like the group of us are a bunch of friends or anything...LOL... some of (all) the biggest fights have been between the CC members.

I've been out of the CC since that day lol.
Like I said, I really like what they've done. I have literally no problems with it. I just didn't feel I needed a final say in a decision, our opinions can be heard at any time, whether on MSN or on the board.
