I'm guessing Shep started the talks by talking with bry? Just a thought. Hope this solves your goaltending woes. As I was saying earlier its a huge risk taking on Tampa's system, especially when it seems like they'll get outside help this off season. That being said its a pretty big haul.

Of all the managers in BBKl, Shep reminds me the most of myself, and I don't mean that to flatter myself, merely that he seems to target the same types of players and deals that I do. If he can eliminate the odd bad trade he will be really good for a really long time.

Bcools wins by a mile. He benefits the most going in for contention, the right pieces to acquire to top off that goalie/scoring touch, for little given up

My offer was terrible. I have no idea what that has to do with this trade. You essentially traded Ryan Smyth for Berglund and got the rest with the TBL system for Miller. It will cost you double what you received here to get back to Miller.

lol.. Chris and I had by FAR the smallest part of this deal.

Only reason Chris's side might look bad is because he'll have to go out and get the TBL starter in the summer. He added tons of depth for "R. Miller, J. Enroth, R. Smyth, A. Engqvist, C. Goloubef, P. McRae" ... Buffalo tandem (Miller has had 1 good season in the NHL that puts him above average), a Dinosaur and 3 terrible prospects.

Miller has 1 season with a GAA under 2.50 and a SV% of .920 - For $6mil, he's the most overrated goalie in the league. But, everybody only remembers his 2009-2010 season and assume he's a Top 5 goalie.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OMG RAPED.

Don't quote stats, Shep. Chris' team needs value. And no matter how you slice it, the deal below looks TERRIBLE for Chris (Smyth/Berglund cancel each other out with a small edge to Berglund).

TBL System + Barrie + Morris + Brown + Olesz + 28-30th Overall in the next 2 years

BUF System

Stevie Y would be all over this deal if he could upgrade TBL's tandem for so cheap. And in the real NHL 1st round picks are worth way more.
