i think we can hang with/beat offers from the rangers, sharks, bruins but it's the kings im worried about.

bernier is a huge piece for CBJ i would think plus they have loads of defensive prospects.

bernier, johnson, loktionov, pick or something

If Nash goes, a young goaltender would have to be going the other way ... I would have to agree with Anton and LA being the better partner

The thing is that Carter is also a name out there. Columbus could land a goalie in a deal for either Nash or Carter and go after whatever they want with the other.

Yes Shiv! I think grabbing Mason in a deal would be sick. Super young and still has loads of potential. It's hilarious when people write him off.. it isn't as if Columbus offers much in front of him lol..

No, it really doesn't...If that were the case CBJ would limit themselves to one or two trade partners: Van and LA, one of whom is not interested in Nash for cap and chemistry reasons. The Blue Jackets need help everywhere and will take the deal that best improves their team, a goaltender could be involved, but it isn't a necessity. I still believe their isn't a contender out there who can afford to give up the assets the Leafs can (Gardiner, Schenn, Kadri, Scrivens, 1st, etc.) the only question is how much is Burke willing to offer, IMO.

Agreed, and I think it's laughable that people think Bernier needs to be involved for that reason, and because he is incredibly overrated. Reimer has done more statistically than Bernier, and is more proven, and teams that go after unproven young goalies tend to pay for it in the long run *cough Mike Smith for Richards cough*.
