Methot is basically = Hjalmarsson, hes just hurtH MART wroteCOLONJesus. Wtf pete... Two meh deals in a row!
its basically Methot gets substantially more hits and Hjalmarsson gets substantially more bs... similar age, similar cap, similar other cats, hjalmarsson is also more likely imo to get booted out of top 4 with keith, seabrook, leddy etc in chicago, plus panik is a pretty decent blue chipperH MART wroteCOLONHjalmarsson is keeper material going forward.
THIS (Sorry Peter).Shep wroteCOLONPanik is far from a blue-chipper.
over .5ppg in the minors as a rookie, lots of skill, a tampa team growing older up front that will need the replacements in the long run, I'm pretty happy with Panik, give him a couple years and well talk on how much of a blue chipper he is or wasShep wroteCOLONPanik is far from a blue-chipper.
Believe me, I love Panik. Barely putting up a PPG as an over-ager in the OHL and sitting at 21pts in 40gm as a 21 year old is fairly underwhelming.canuckspk wroteCOLONover .5ppg in the minors as a rookie, lots of skill, a tampa team growing older up front that will need the replacements in the long run, I'm pretty happy with Panik, give him a couple years and well talk on how much of a blue chipper he is or wasShep wroteCOLONPanik is far from a blue-chipper.
well... hockeys future has him ranked ahead of carter ashton and namestnikov.. so he must be better than them :pShep wroteCOLONBelieve me, I love Panik. I see the problem here.canuckspk wroteCOLONhockeys future
yeah I was sorta joking there, I dunnu I sort of compare Panik to a guy like Grabner, put up mediocre numbers in junior, similar stats in their first ahl year, but because of their pure speed and scoring prowess managed to be successful at nhl level. Not saying he'll be as good as grabner, but has that potential.Kezia wroteCOLONI see the problem here.canuckspk wroteCOLONhockeys future
I don't really have an opinion on this, but trust me, Shep knows his stuff on Panik, he has seen him play more than anyone else in this league.canuckspk wroteCOLONover .5ppg in the minors as a rookie, lots of skill, a tampa team growing older up front that will need the replacements in the long run, I'm pretty happy with Panik, give him a couple years and well talk on how much of a blue chipper he is or wasShep wroteCOLONPanik is far from a blue-chipper.
He's got a great shot, and I was expecting him to light the lamp a LOT more than 11 goals in the 40 games so far. Time will tell, but after a disappointing over-age year in the OHL and disappointing AHL seaosn thus far, I gave up on him.canuckspk wroteCOLONTake it for what it is Panik is just an add for two arguably equal players, Panik may not be the greatest of prospects, but I like his potential enough for me to make the deal lol. A lot of TB fans still have the belief that panik will be their 2nd line rw, as a rookie in the ahl he still has to earn his minutes and prove he can play a well rounded game, Im sure his scoring will increase next season in the minors after hes more settled in, and hopefully by the time hes 25 hell be on the lighting's 2nd line, otherwise, oh well.
