To TOR: D. Rundblad + PHX 1st '11 + CAR 1st '13
To CAR: J. Bailey
I am way too fucking patient. My team will own in 2014-15. Oh, and Matt - quit improving your team please.

Moving that 2013 1st is SO short sighted.

Maybe, but there's a chance it'll be a mid round pick. In that case, the ETA will be in 2015. I am more than okay with that.

In fact I think we should request they stop being moved. Its emptying future assets off of the team @ almost no value. Insanely short sighted.

I asked around before acquiring my first '13 pick - there were no complaints at that point.

Not really...He got Josh Bailey, who helps the Canes today and tomorrow, the plan is too be a contender by 2012, I fail to see how this is short sighted...
Good deal Nate.

i see nothing wrong with moving 2013 picks. gms in the nhl are able to move any asset they like. why not here?

Lovin' it Scott... Lovin' it.
You know how I operate - if I feel I'm getting good value I make the trade. Same reason I traded Perron to you.

Ghh, it's just hard to see so Many franchises with so little assests... I don't see how trading a mid pick two years from now ++ for a guy that was a mid pick last year is considered a good move.
Man that's a wicked short flight, already about to land, in the water

Bailey went in the top 10 in 08...Your argument regarding teams with few assets is moot, because if anything Nate just added a quality asset, for a unknown commodity in 2013.

agreed.
Bailey's value is only going to increase as well the next few years.
I think if carolina waits a couple seasons to make this deal the price is even >.
