The league is better when the Original Six clubs are contending...the Leafs need to get their shit together because hockey is better when they're relevant.

Wow, honestly didn't realize you guys haven't been in the playoffs since the lockout. Belfour had a really solid year in '03-04 prior to the lockout. They've definitely struggled since Quinn was coach. Your best years since I followed hockey were with Burns or Quinn. Been to 4 conference finals in the last 20 years...still hard to believe you haven't been back to the Finals since the last time they actually won it all.

Teams have succeeded when grabbing guys from winning organizations...the Lightning moved forward with Yzerman and Tallon has helped bring the Panthers back from the abyss. You'd think Burke would work in Toronto. He's gotta be near the end of his leash by now.

Not to sound like Kareem, but there is so much wrong in this post it's not even funny.

Leafs have been and still are one of the 5 youngest teams in the NHL since Burke took over. He's not focusing on 9th/10th and he continues to say that. Every TDD he can move his 1st/2nd/prospects for a 35yr old vet to help us get into the playoffs, but that's not his plan. He doesn't want to come 8th and get raped in Round 1. He wants his team to be perennial playoff contenders for the cup, not a 1 and done in the playoffs.

Hamilton is not even close to Chara-lite if you've ever seen him play. Completely made up statement.

Worry about the Bruins getting knocked out by the Caps in Round 1.

I am a Canadian and have Leafs jammed down my throat from every direction, my opinion is just as valid as any of yours, so fuck off. And i do worry about the Bruins getting knocked out in Round 1. At least i have something to worry/be excited about, instead of the hot topic of my teams GM and coach stating the obvious about the prior season as they move into golf season.
