A small bit of dirty dealing occurred; cost me a little, but not everything can always bounce the way you want.
To Phx: David Jones, Ryan Jones, Jack Hillen & PHI 2nd 2010 (#42).
To Phi: Blake Wheeler & MTL 4th 2010 (#108)
->the flyers are happy to reunite Blake with his U-Min teammates Kyle Okposo & Stu Bickel... as well as for former Green Bay Gamblers teammate John Mitchell.

as anton would confirm... cost me that 42nd pick... but I'll live
smart moves by you guys.
he's to hoping Wheeler still has a top 6 spot on the bruins.

mmmh.. i would be really surprised to see him top 6 in Boston after his last season, the Horton acquisition, and the upcoming pick.

Wheeler will be a top 6 and maybe even top 3 this year....just not on the Bruins. I am betting he will be a Leaf. Nick has a sense...

ah look at that. everything turns out right in the end.
would've been sweet if we had announced it as a giant 3 way deal.
To PHI:
Wheeler
4th
To PHX:
D. Jones
R. Jones
Hillen
Werek
2nd
To CHI:
Ales Hemsky

Nice work by Matt to get a lot of nice pieces in the two trades...

I do think Wheeler will be moved, however I likely just jynxed it by posting that & trading for him.... currently 1/3:
- went and got Dion Phaneuf -> he became a bud
- went and got Ryan Jones -> rumoured we also placed a waiver claim, but he did
not become a bud
- went and got Nathan Horton -> he did
not become a bud
As anyone knows who has been reading/watching, Burke is looking for a top 6, scoring winger, with size; IMO Wheeler fits that potential and likely misses his BFF in Kessel.
Personally I was disappointed with the Horton comments on his trade: he only said excited 4 times; Dion busted it out something like 21.
