Because I'm bored gonna take this on (still looking for people to help with awards creation too btw). We are going to rank teams in opposite order as it seems most people lose interest in this once the top 10-15 teams are ranked so gonna try something new and build up some hype.

Criteria for voting in order of importance:
1) The strength and depth of NHL roster
2) The potential and depth of prospect roster (i.e. teams with lots of B and C prospects will be similarly valued as a team with only 1 or 2 A level prospects etc)
3) The number and quality of picks in both the upcoming Waiver Draft as well as the '13 and '14 Entry Drafts

We will start by voting for the team that is lacking in all of these three areas. Once we have 20 total votes or 10 votes for a single team we will move onwards and upwards. I will track the number of votes and the rankings by editing this post.

i was thinking dallas as well. not peter's fault though, he was handed a pile of shit to begin with.

I don't really know for sure which team is solely in 30th. IMO its not peter's Dallas stars though.

Lowest 3 in terms of these perimeters, to me are:
Detroit red wings
Carolina hurricanes
Calgary flames

Dallas probably holds the 4 spot to me.

Pressed to give a #30, and of no desired insult or any indication of lack of faith in the gm, I'll cast my ballot as the red wings.

It was the GM before the previous one who really fucked things up for that team. Peter is a smart guy, he will do some good things with that team no doubt.

A better voting system would be 10 ish for one person or 20 total, to be honest. 25 people are not going to vote on each spot.

No offense to Lee but gotta be him to me, few really high end prospects, but lacking in solid NHLers and tending could quickly become a mess.

BTW, every vote I make is in regards to their NHL roster. I don't care if you have the sickest prospects. Until they produce, they are useless to me.

yeah, who cares about common criteria.. like, i mean, i don't like Southern teams so i'll rank Kings and Bolts at the bottom
