I think Adam Oates is going to right the ship in Washington and help them get back to an offense first team. As a result my pick for the Rocket next season is Alexander Ovechkin.

Nick, how could you omit Marian Gaborik, and Phil Kessel from this list?

Injury to Gabroik = out until Christmas, otherwise he would be.

Kessel I chose to remove the leaf goggles and admit he's unlikely to breakout into 50+goals, probably a top 10 though. Kessel, Tavares & Eberle were just off my list.

I didn't know that about Gabby. Kessel has to be on any list, IMO. He may not hit 50, but he is a lock to be in the top 10 of goal scoring every single year.

Stamkos will win but Ilya Kovalchuk should be on this list.

He's the only guy outside of Stamkos that I think can win it. If Oates allows Ovi to be the old Ovi...he can get back to a 50 goal pace. However, a healthy Stamkos can put in 55-60.

I believe there are a bunch of guys, that if they get hot/lucky/chemistry, can break the 50goal mark, however you add that same luck to Stamkos and he's over 60. A healthy Crosby, motivated Ovi, Kovy, Nash, Malkin - all possible IMO.

Nash will be lucky to break 40, let alone 50.
