was at both games this weekend.

the drastic flip from last night to this afternoon was insane. the entire team was garbage and the game was awful. i was sitting in front of a scout from the Kings and at one point in the 3rd i looked behind me and he was dozing off - eyes closed, pen falling out of his hand lol.

they played great yesterday tho. gardiner was clearly in another league compared to everyone else on the ice. kadri, colbourne, scrivens were also good. foligno was the only guy who stood out from rochester. hodgson sucked.

The Monsters defence did an excellent job of crowding in front of the net, getting to loose pucks, and forcing the Marlies to shoot from the outside. Because of it, the Marlies did not generate a ton of offence, and they had possession for most of the game. The substitution of Blacker-Ranger for Yeo-Gysbers was noticeable as well.

The game in six actually seemed to show the game fairly well.

Gardiner has no business being in the AHL - sticks out like a sore thumb, hell kadri kinda does too.

Scrivens didn't look comfortable all game.

Barrie is awesome, and their team plays Grind it out D -- but to be honest that coup has easily been a right game.

I also thought that Ashton looked good all game - rarely talked about but this kid has a complete tool set.

Damn cheap seats are all sold out for Saturday... no way I'm paying $100 for a pair of AHL tickets.

Gardiner simply doesn't belong in the AHL -that much is evident.

Carter Ashton looks like the next closest to NHL level on the marlies too me. Kadri is depressing to watch.

It would be hard for kadri's body language to be any worse. His skating is so average, and aside from the odd nice move his game looks very far from the NHL too me. He didn't mange to tie much together... In general just doesn't look like an impact NHLer in the making. No doubt on the skill, but where is the rest?

Kassian looks like an NHLer. Sven looks like I wish Kadri did.

Anton, what are the prices like for Marlies tickets in the lower bowl? I'm thinking of going to tomorrow's game.

That is a very reasonable rate, hopefully tickets aren't sold out tomorrow.
