My picks would have been for Canada's WJC team this year

Forwards

MacKinnon – Jenner – Drouin

Danault – McNeill - Wilson

Ouellet – Harrington

Reinhart – Dumba

Goaltenders (aka a crapshoot past Subban)

Subban

Binnington (3rd)

Cuts:

F: Beauvillier, Catenacci, Camara, Graovac, Lipon, Hudon, Monahan, Sissons (hurt)

D: Pelech, Pouliot, Wotherspoon, Sproul, Corrado

Canada essentially went all offense top to bottom with the forward group which I can dig. The whole Top 6/Bottom 6 thing obviously hasn't worked for the last few years, might as well go all out offense on the big ice and see what happens.

Rielly's star is going to grow (even more) after this tournament. He's going to feast on the big ice with all that room. REALLY excited to see MacKinnon and Drouin hopefully work together and despite his shakiness at times in camp, I have more faith in Subban than I've had in any Canadian goalie since Price.

CANT FUCKING WAIT.

Sick sick sick. I do not even care about the NHL during the WJC days.

So happy that Drouin made the team, already one of our most talented players, I could see him scoring a little more than expected this tournament.

Would've liked if Monahan made the team, but with Canada's depth at Center it really wasn't realistic this year, rather have a natural winger for the bottom 6.
Surprised about Lipon instead of Wilson, a real case of who had the better camp, but you have to love Canada going the skill route!
I'd argue that top - bottom this is one of the most talented Canada line up's we will ever see at the WJC (of course because of lockout), a lot of guys that should translate to solid NHL talent. Great to see a top 9 rather than top 6 forward group.
Lethal top pairing on D too, Rielly - Hamilton if played together could be completely dominate, 2 of the 3 best dmen in the tournament.

Boring first period.

Big guns MiA for Canada. Hamilton looked good though, strong.

Armia is sick as expected, just got decked by Harrington.

Mackinnon with his first few moments of greatness, unreal skating, strength and hands.

Not shocking to anyone, but Jenner is looking for a big hit, this tournament he will knock someone out.

Not many bright spots in that first pre-comp game.

Play of Hudon, Reinhart and Scheifele looking alright on the wing is pretty much it.

RNH as a captain simply cannot take a retaliatory slashing penalty down by 1 with 2 mins left. Just poor.

Rielly was too passive and did not play his game at all. Probably nerves, but I hope he settles down and gets himself involved.

Subban looked shaky, and he's supposed to be our rock under pressure.

I think forseberg is made for the NHL. Lots of high level aspects to his game.
