School shooting tragedy

Man...shooting fucking school children while wearing bullet proof vests? WTF is wrong with some humans? my sweet fuck. How could anyone, no matter the mindset, resort to planning a massive killing at an elementary school. These fucktards need to be put on an island and nuked. Its about time we had a cultural cleansing. Way too many loonbags roaming the streets.

Take it easy on the Merica stuff...lunatics live every where. Who expected that massacre in Norway?
I'm sickened by all these stories...so many (young) lives senselessly taken. I stand up for freedoms of others but unfortunately too much freedom can lead to irrational and violent acts by weak or sick minded people.
I'll tiptoe lightly around gun regulation. I'm for basic gun rights in this country but unfortunately people who like guns and like to use guns sometimes are also people that will open fire in shopping mall or a movie theater or a school. You can regulate guns but you can't regulate crazy.
People are flawed creatures. They'll find ways to do harm to others...guns are one of those things. There are responsible gun owners...sickos like this give them a bad name.

Imagine dropping your 6 year old off at school in the morning like it's any other day and then finding out they've been shot to death.
I'm not religious but this sort of thing makes me hope there is a hell, and if there is, there's a special place in it for pure fucking scum like this piece of shit. i hope he hangs from his balls on a rusty hook for eternity.

Man it's insanely fucked up.
I enjoy shooting a gun as much as the next guy.. Maybe more.. But I cannot see any real argument for allowing fully automatic rifles - or hand guns. Both should be fully restricted because of the risk they impose to society.
Hell the long rifle registry here on Bc did not bother me - it was fucked up having to send your fun to the east coast for inspection or gettin it tied up for a few months even if u had all your papers, however that is an error in practice and convince, not policy.
This story wrecked my day right from 10:30am.

Things are only deadly once they're the wrong hands or they're not used responsibly. Emotionally fragile or broken people with any sort of weapon is very dangerous to society. If profiling Middle Easterners after 9/11 isn't that unreasonable considering who took down those buildings, then why shouldn't we all profile skiddish lunatics with a gun collection?
This kid today and Holmes from the Colorado shooting and the other guy at Virginia Tech...these were/are some screwed up dudes. Careless and drunk drivers shouldn't have cars and lunatics and felons shouldn't be allowed to own weapons. It's the RIGHT to bear arms...not the priviledge. I'd be in favor of further restricting who can have guns.
Not every person that owns a deadly weapon is going to go on a rampage. The threat of them doing it is there but so is the possibility of someone driving drunk while you're on the road. People need to be held to a higher standard if they want to have the same rights as everyone else.

Agree with just about everything you said Scott. As a parent, and I know there are a few more fathers in here, I sobbed like a little girl when I watched the news this morning. Its difficult not to imagine it's your child in that school. I was also enraged ... 2nd amendment, blah blah blah whatever, but anyone who has mental issues should not be allowed anywhere near a gun. And yes, I think that should be worked into licensing and ownership - mental fucking testing. This fuck-tard was autistic or had asperger's or whatever which means he REALLY should not be allowed to be anywhere near a firearm. This system is fucked ... On the other hand I more tempted than ever to own a gun myself. If no one else will protect us we might as well protect ourselves.

on a side note, it really shows the immaturity of a 20 year old to take out some mental issues on a kindergarten school. I hope they catch the kid a live and let the guys in jail take care of him. Make him suffer a little like he's done to those 20 + families right before Christmas.

what they really should do, is give every kid in america a gun, because they need to protect themselves from all the crazies that might run into their schools and go on a killing spree..
or they could try to make owning a gun as difficult as it is in Canada, maybe even more so, that second amendment shit is archaic, it was implemented in a time when guys used muskets not assault rifles, it has far out weighed any use it once had, heard a couple of really poignant stats (below) today, seems pretty unanimous imo on what needs to happen if they are serious about changing the culture
.. 12,000 homicides in the states annually due to firearms
.. since columbine there have been 45 school shootings world wide, 31 of them in the states
.. australia had a similar right to bear arms between 1981 and 1996, reported 16 school shootings in that time, after reforms to gun ownership/registration in '96 they have had 0

the coward committed suicide on scene ... then again it's probably a good thing so he didn't continue shooting

I agree wholeheartedly
I grew up in a home with numerous firearms as my step-father was a hunter. I was taught to shoot rifles, shotguns and pistols but never really found any joy in it. I sort of just gave up on it all as I had a tremendous amount of guilt killing anything. But anyway, if I was a crazy little shit there were unlocked guns all over the house ... Access is just way to easy.
Who knows ... maybe I'll be a Canadian citizen in 20 years in nothing changes - haha

Yeah let me tell you I hugged my son alot tighter when I got to see him last night. I can't begin to imagine what those parents are going through. Especially cause my son is nearly the same age as those kids it really hit close to home.
No offense to all our American buddy's here but get yours heads out of your asses and wake the fuck up!
PolitiComments
Whats wrong with a picture like this? And all that 2nd amendment excuses are BS. You spout half of the amendment to fit what you want and totally ignore the first half of the amendment because it isnt compatible.
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Where your courts get off in
2008 to change what the founding fathers meant in the constitution is ridiculous! For those that dont know: the Disctrict of Columbia ruled that the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to possess a firearm, unconnected to service in a militia and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home.
Ill wager the founding fathers are rolling in their graves with how many Americans have bastardized the Second Amendment to fit their perverse form of "rights"...

For some in this country, there is an unhealthy obsession with weapons and violence. You'd never want to see the collective population here reach the point of apathy and complete detachment to how wrong it is inflict harm on anyone, let alone children. In most people of a right mind saw this and knew how wrong this was. The problem is, it takes the smallest of minorities that can detach themselves from reality and lose common decency and can commit horrible acts. These people are just as scary as terrorists because you don't know where and when they snap.
We'll find out more about this and see what role family and this kid's parents and his childhood may played into this. It puts a further emphasis on the ability of parents to properly raise their children and to not lose them mentally or emotionally. Guns were the vehicle to this act but further decay in the act of parenting likely played a role in this as well. Social decay is probably as much of a problem or is a root cause of violence. We have wonderful people here but we also have people that develop volcanic-like rage and anger that can erupt and in a big way.
Every parent in this country needs to be attentive and know what they're children are doing and be a positive influence in their lives. A lot of the problems will be solved if we continue to grow and evolve as a people. I know faith can play a big part in keeping families and community together but for me as an agnostic, you just need to know how to treat others around you and to just be the best person you can be. We here tend to value "I" and "me" more times than value "we" and "us". Hold yourself and those around you to a higher standard...I can't say it enough.
