Hope doesn't hurt our chances too much with Kule.
Top 6/9 Shaping up though.

Why would it hurt our chances with Kulemin?

Armstrong is 100% 3rd liner.... he'll remind Toronto fans what its like to have a reliable hard checking 3rd liner.... its been too long.
W/o more changes (*not smart enough to
know what is going to happen*):
?kaberle? - Bozak - Kessel
Kulemin - Grabo - Versteeg
Sjostrom - Hanson - Armstrong
Brown - ?shot-blocker? - Orr
Ideally its a size guy for kaberle, (or Kovy;)), and a strong shot blocker for the #4 C.
FUCK YES, thie Hamuis signing is great. Please god kevin & cody

why would the hamuis signing make it more likely for us to trade cody? I get kevin but if we were to trade him it wouldnt be for another expensive dman such as kaberle lol. If anything this assures you dont get them.

ye, hadn't thought about it yet.
still no elite pp QB for van... but... they are likely set... dallas & boston = last major kaberle players? unless someone unexpected steps up?

maybe not elite but ehrhoff/edler/salo are good enough when the sedins run your pp thats why our defence had soo many goals last year. lead the league I believe....but yea dallas and boston could be out there. I think its going to be a surpriser like burke always does

It was the Malhotra signing, not Hamhuis...

Malhotra signing buts too many Centers in Cody Hodgson's way. But with Hamhuis it makes it debatable if they want Kabs (I'd love to get Hodgson). But it seems odd for the Canucks to do this.
Giving 3 Mil to Armstrong while we won't give 3 to Kulemin could impact his camp's views on his place on this team.

Armstrong is a good signing but Burke overpaid HUGE....3 mil for a 3rd line player is too much....although yes he will have a top 6 role in Toronto hes a 3rd liner on any other team...

He's not going to be a top 6er on the Leafs...And yes, while they did overpay it wasn't by 3 million like gomez, but rather $500,000.00

Agreed well known to be a good locker room guy, adds some more agitation and hits to our roster. The mantra in the visitors locker room will now be keep your fucking head up. Much better than the old Leafs where it was.. shoot.. literally from anywhere.. yes even past 150 feet away.
I'm liking how this roster is shaping up, more parts still needed but its better than most previous years.

LOL he identified himself as a 3rd liner, Burke identified him as a 3rd liner... but you take a free shot at us? he won't be to 6 for us, doesn't change anything either way.. you'll hate/fear him as much as ever well he runs over the smurfs... aka Habs....we'll see how well plek's turtle neck protects him.
I also fail to see how everyone says its over-payement, he cited family & team direction for his reason for signing with us; IMO he could have got near idential money else where, and it wasn't 15min after the panel was saying around the 3M mark... 15g 30-40pts, around a hit per game (big ones), known character guy... he'll fit right in, his value for the team will be obvious right away.

He's also notably bigger and a superior skater then Darcy, however he's less feisty & less skilled. More of a true 3rd liner then Tucker ever was.
