Positive news for Leafs

Post by Nick »

Trying to find the original source, but from HF broads:
[Kadri is up to ]186 & is at the ACC at 8 AM four days a week training hard.

I'd imagine he could break 190lb before opening day (of the regular season) allowing him to maintain 185lb+ over the course of the season, really positive news IMO, will include link when I find it.

got it ->http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Hockey/NHL/To ... 95216.html
I will include a few other awesome tidbits:
“(Kadri’s weight) is 186 pounds right now and that’s 186 and strong,” Hughes said. “We certainly believe he’s moving in the right direction.”
An added benefit of the summer sweat school is exposing Kadri to working alongside proven pros. Luke Schenn, Tyler Bozak and other Leafs regulars have been on hand, as was Dion Phaneuf when he was in town to be feted for his captaincy.

Good to hear that Tyler & Luke are their working hard as well; not that I'd expect anything less from good-ol'Sask boys.

Makes it hard not to be at least a little excited? No?

I can see the urge to push Kadri & Kessel togther, but I wonder if we're not better served having Kadri play with some more size??

Kulemin - Bozak - Kessel
Kaberle - Kadri -Versteeg
Grabo - Hanson - Armstrong -> IMO need a proper LW 3rd liner or 4th line C (malkin could be 3rd line LW if he would accept it)
Orr- Mitchell - Brown
Sjostrom/Caputi/Irwin/Sweatt (who Nonis seems to REALLY like, and he is a LWer ;))

Agreed completely Nick, I also really hope we add a legit first line center to allow Bozak to play against the oppositions second best defensive unit, and let Kadri ease himself into the center role when he is good and ready.
