FIRE SALE ready to go

edit

still need to cut the roster to get down to the limit, so it's time for me to sell off some prospects for just picks instead of looking to package them.

Even if these guys are far from being premier prospects, they still have more chances to contribute (and earlier) than your average pick in those rounds would have..

picks may be in 2011 or 2012, no problem.

Foligno, Marcus -for- 4th/early 5th

Blair Riley  -for- 6th

Mario Valery-Trabucco -for- 6th

Dmitri, Vorobiev  -for- 7th

Godfrey, Josh -for- 5th

Macias, Ray -for- 5th

Alexei, Yemelin -for- 3rd/early 4th

Regner, Brent -for- 3rd/early 4th

I will also add Sondre Olden, available for a 2nd.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have room on your roster, you could benefit from my forced firesale.
You can guess the sum of what you will receive will be way better than what you'll give away.

I'll need to make at least a couple of retarded deals to cut the roster; as soon as i will get down to a number that won't force me to cut legit NHL prospects/players in october, i'll stop with the unbalanced deals.

So if the first GMs coming complete the necessary deals, they'll be the only ones benefiting from this.

Asking prices are too high, none of those players (save for the ones whos career in the NHL is over, I.E. Vorobiev) were picked as high as the selections you are demanding in return, I mean Olden for a 2nd...Really?

LOL..
Godfrey was a 2nd rounder.
Foligno was a 4th rounder.
Yemelin was a 3rd rounder, and could come over next yr (was close this season already; also played and scored for Russian national team in this yr WC).
Regner was a 5th and obviously improved his stock since then, same for Ortio.
Macias was a 4th.

Basically, this shows you just lost another chance to shut up.

Sigh...I was going to let this go, because I didn't want to hurt that value of you're block.

Josh Godfrey is a completely one dimensional defenceman who has failed to crack the AHL roster of the most one dimensional club in hockey (WSH). He is so poor defensively that he has spent the last two seasons in the ECHL...

Marcus Foligno is an overrated plug who was selected in the 4th on name and blood line alone. In his 3 year NHL career (on a terrible Sudbury team) he has failed to score more than 39 points in a season, and this is with top 6 ice time and the mentorship of the person who knows his game and tendencies best, his father. If the kid can't hit 40 points in the OHL, what makes you think he can hit 10 in the NHL? He is a 3rd liner at best, but more than likely someone who never makes it as anything more than a tweener.

But you know what, even though these guys look like busts, I will give you the benefit of the doubt on you're asking price, because you know what, most prospects bust, but the others are simply unacceptable...

Yemelin has refused to come over to Montreal on several occasions, has failed to break in even in Russia for six years, going on seven, furthermore, he isnt even property of an NHL team anymore, Montreal didn't resign his rights, and to this point no one has picked him up. His value is a 7th, not 3rd/4th.

Ortio was a 6th rounder last year, and was a backup for all of last season on his Finnish club TPS. The kid has talent, like any goaltender taken in the NHL Entry Draft, but he hasn't done enough to raise his stock from a 6th to a 3rd...

Sondre Olden was taken in the mid 3rd round a couple of months ago...Have a few pre-season contests honestly increased his value to an early second rounder?

Dmitri Vorobiev has refused to come over to NA without a guaranteed contract, clearly no one is giving it to him, at this point he should be in the FA pool, he has no value.

Raymond Macias was a 2005 selection...That's 5 years ago...To date he has only played in 6 NHL contests (due to a mass amount of injuries), that's less games than he has played in the ECHL. Furthermore, this is the last year of his contract...Look at the list of proven NHL'ers still without a contact, I think it's safe to say Macias will not be renewed, barring a massive breakout, which is unlikely to say the least. His value is the same at most (5th), realistically it should be lower.

Blair Riley...Undrafted 25 year old who was signed on recently by the Oilers to provide AHL depth.

why does pointing out the crap make me defensive?

and would be funny to be able to comment on the forum the garbage (words) you're used to season your offers with.. that could make you defensive.. :)

yep, i'm not expecting you to point that out.. after all, the longer people keep listening to your 'theories' during negotiations, the better for you ;)
