Good. As a Sharks fan it would be too awkward to see him in another NHL uni

People bag on him for not coming through in the postseason...his career playoff numbers are actually better than his regular season numbers...except wins obviously. His GAA and save percentage were better and he had a slightly higher shutout frequency in the playoffs compared to the regular season. Goalies tend to be the fall guy when a team fails but the Sharks as a franchise will have that stigma of not being able to getting it done in spring until they finally do it.

Nabby has been brutal since the lockout, I don't care what the #'s say, have watched him let in soft goals for way way too long. The sharks have been the most technically sound team in the entire NHL, and have BY FAR the best puck management, excellent shot-location management and elite puck-clearing.
Good riddance, and fear the sharks if they ever get themselves and big frame - positional goalie.

Antero isn't the answer.. I feel they'll be in the same position between the pipes.

he may not be the answer, but who would have said niemi would have been the answer lol. If nabby played even medium this year sjs would have been in the finals. one on one wrist shots from the point...come on. Have fun in russia I hear its a very comparable climate to sjs your wife and kids will love it. sivv

Not only weak as wrist shots from too far out, but also straight up mind farts and bumbled pucks!!! shit cannot be happening in tight hockey games.
Way way too many pucks he's got a clear view of go straight in, and far too many controllable pucks end up sitting in the slot, IMO he's forced out of the NHL 2+ years ago on 25 of the 30 teams in the league.
Antero is an improvement IMO, he was solid on a team that gave him very little support.. however still not the type of goalie that suits there team. They do not need the big save goalie, they need the goalie that doesn't collapse and let weak shit in -> IMO they need a Giggy/Lundqvist/Ward, a big, positionally excellent goalie who eats up rebounds, let the amazing team deal with lateral stuff and soft side defence.
However there are still some goalies on the market, we'll see what goes down.

Neel has Greiss (who will be the starter by next season) and Stalock - he's fine. Trade for Niittymaki is you're concerned.
