Announcing my re-signation as GM of the Philadelphia Flyers
Announcing my re-signation as GM of the Philadelphia Flyers
I just want to say thank you all for the good times. I just don't have the time to commit to the league any more. Steve already knows, but I have a little one on the way due in Sept and there's a lot of stuff that I need to get done before he/she/it comes along.
A long thank you note is in order, but those close to me know who you are.
Thank you all for understanding.

Re: Announcing my resignation as GM of the Philadelphia Flye
Been through this myself last year, Lee. The end of the season makes people question the point of being in BBKL. But when next year starts, once again we will all be here. You have all summer to take time away from here. Don't jump to decisions I'll say.
But if you have your mind set, then the best of luck to you buddy. You will be missed.

Re: Announcing my resignation as GM of the Philadelphia Flye
Told you as much on MSN but will repeat here:
BBKL isn't about the winning (and I realize it is me saying this)...It's about the community. Our NHL Transactions/injuries + Hockey talk threads alone are worth being in this league. The fantasy hockey league keeps the forum going but that's pretty much it.
If life gets busy, come on less. But when you do have ever want to talk hockey, the forum will be there. I think anyone else thinking of quitting should consider that.
And Lee, even if come on BBKL 50% less, you will still be one our most active members.
Very, very easy to quit when the season ends. Very, very difficult to not want to jump online here when the season begins. And look at Kareem - he lost years of work because he made a rash decision to quit. Don't throw your work away either.
Wouldn't write as long of a post if you weren't valued in this league.

Nicely played Lee - and congrats - I'm sure you'll raise 'it' right and all that. Glad you're sticking around too - valued member.
Shiv it was good of you to a) play along if you knew, or b) make valid points for him to stay.
Paul wins though. Again. Said no one ever.

I'm really happy to hear this is just an April fools joke. You are one of the irreplaceable managers in this league Lee, I'm sure everyone else agrees.

Re: Announcing my re-signation as GM of the Philadelphia Fly
you been keeping up with the new season of community bill.i.am?
started out so shitty, but the last 2 or 3 have been at least up to average community standard. the lack of dan harmon is still so apparent tho.
