I find somewhat fitting that it is Lee spreading the news here.

Good for him, silliness in our society that it's still acceptable, and common in some circles, to be judgemental to the point of homophobia.

Expect more to come out now that they won't be "the first"

You hope he gets a job because of his sexual orientation?

I'm confident Mike was more commenting that he hopes Collins doesn't NOT get signed because of his sexual orientation

Good for him, it's nice to see an Active Player make the first stand!

Actually you're both kinda correct. I would like him to get a job more than an identical straight player because I think it would serve a social good to have him as a success story.

Gah, I just found myself supporting affirmative action.

He will get a job before a player with equal ability due to his sexual orientation though, it is called reverse discrimination lol

I am glad to see him coming out though. For me this is such a non issue but unfortunately to the Sport world it is a big deal. Hopefully this is the start of an era were players only have to fear judgment on ability not sexuality. I think for the most part we are on that path but for some ridiculous reason we aren't there yet. Good on Collins, it isn't easy for anyone to be the 1st as your name will always be associated with the subject. Glad he had the courage to do so.
