NFL Fantasy Advice

I need some advice from you football know alls. I have number one waiver priority in my keeper league. I won week one but barely. I dont want to make any rash decisions after one week but not happy with TE Fred Davis and also Ahmad Bradshaw. Any RB's i should be looking for or TE's i might use that waiver on or hold still until waivers end and use it on something better?

some notable TE's available:

Winslow
Gresham
Reed
Miller
Sudfeld
Pettigrew

Whatever you do, do not use your #1 waiver priority on any of those TE's. However, once your waivers are all cleared, if Winslow is still available I'd take a flyer on him. Veteran TE's tend to be security blankets for rookie QB's. But I wouldn't want to risk any of that on Kellen Winslow. I save my #1 waiver priority, if I get it, until a Stud RB goes down that has a backup that could have RB1 upside if he's playing.

Bradshaw will split time with Ballard so what RB's are available?

Good Advice Shep.

Not that much available atm for RB's...I got Hillman and Powell stashed just in case. This is first page sorted by proj.

I wouldn't use my waiver on him, but keep an eye and ear out for McGahee. He's working out with the Giants this week because of Wilson's fumbling issues.

As a Lions fan...stay away from Pettigrew. Scheffler and look out for Joseph Fauria to be better (and less frustrating) TE options. Fauria is a guy to watch.

Joseph Fauria was a guy I was looking to maybe snatch up in a deeper league. I know Pettigrew is garbage. Do you think Fauria can get enough balls to be relevant with the other TE's there?

Stafford will throw a lot of passes again this year and it'll go all over the place. Burleson being healthy just means less passes to the 3rd and 4th receivers...Broyles didn't even dress and Patrick Edwards got a few targets. The Lions have used 2-3 tight ends consistently while Linehan has been the OC. Probably until Fauria moves up from being the #3 TE...he might not get enough targets in the short term but if he proves to actually catch (and hang onto) the ball, they'll find ways to get him more involved. He's got size and athleticism...he was a very solid TE at UCLA and I was excited they had him in during camp. He definitely earned a spot on the team and he had a strong Week 1 showing...his first chance to catch passes from Stafford because usually he was in when Hill or Kellen Moore was playing during the preseason.

I retained my 1st waiver priority. Grabbed Andre Brown and threw on IR, dropped Hillman for Winslow, grabbed Jared Allen for Mario Williams and swapped C. Finnegan for Harrison Smith. Hopefully these are beneficial moves.

I also stashed Isiah Pead on the bench...

I like the Brown stash and the Winslow add for sure. Pead stash is good too as Richardson was there, but wasn't very impressive. Let's see what Pead does moving forward.

ive got both Vernon Davis and Jared Cook and only one starting TE slot. should i be trading Davis for an upgrade at receiver?

Current receivers are Andre Johnson, Golden Tate, Greg Jennings.

I'm thinking Davis + Jennings for Upgraded Receiver + Downgraded TE.

You should definitely be looking to upgrade WR with your TE's. Davis should have more value around the league.

Is Jordan Cameron available in your league?

He's a TE and had a monster week last week. He's super athletic and offensive coach is norv turner who's worked with Antonio Gates.

I think he'd be worth looking at if he is, a bunch of people think he may have a breakout yr.

Looks like Decker is at best the 3rd option in Denver. Tough to say whether hed be an upgrade over those 2 as Peyton is the superior QB to both Ponder and Wilson but both Jennings and Tate will get more targets on a week to week basis.

If Doug Baldwin is available, you might want to take a flyer on him (especially if its a PPR league). The guy had 10 targets last week and could work the slot in Seattle like Welker did for Brady and now Manning.

Manning will pass to whoever is open. He'll spread the ball so he'll have some beast games.

Who else is on the wire?

Now that Welker is there and J. Thomas exploded, teams will have to decide who they will cover the most. I expect Decker to have a strong rebound. PM does have a lot of choices.
